Omar Huerta is a Mexican visual artist born in the 1970s. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts from the School of Fine Arts in Toluca and a Master's degree in Visual Languages from ICONOS Institute in Mexico City. His work has been recognized with the State of Mexico’s Artistic Creation and Development Grant on two occasions, and was featured in CONACULTA’s Illustrator Catalog in 2005, 2007, and 2008. Huerta has expanded his artistic practice through workshops in New York and an artist residency in Havana, Cuba. His ongoing education includes numerous diplomas, courses, and conferences, both as a participant and speaker, allowing him to stay engaged with contemporary art trends.
